Change your strategy.

In the same way that we have tests to pass, the devil has assigned himself tests. He has tasked himself with seeing how many of us he can get condemned to damnation. Now unlike some of us, he is a very very dedicated pupil. He researches and studies his subjects very well. He endeavors to become an expert on each one of us.
A few years ago, the Lord gave me a resounding message, “CHANGE YOUR STRATEGY!”. A few months ago, He showed me that this could not only be applied to my tests but my temptations/trials as well. He directed me to the Israelites’ exodus to the Promised Land. He showed me that He did not allow them to use the same strategy when faced with different kinds of enemies.
You may be wondering why? It is simple! It is because their enemies studied them. When the Israelites left Egypt, all their enemies heard about the manner in which the Lord had defended His people with both the plagues and at the Red Sea. I can just imagine how their enemies planned in the event that such a scenario should happen to them. It is just like in today’s society, if America heard that North Korea is building a weapon of mass destruction, they begin to build their own.
As the Israelites continued their trek to their promised home, their enemies heard about them and the mighty ways that God had worked in their favor. Can you imagine being in Jericho and hearing of how the sun stood still while all your allies at Ai were destroyed? Can you imagine being the king in Jericho? Imagine how he would have set plans in motion in an attempt to prepare for what he had heard.
That’s how the devil is with you! He has his minions out studying you. He studies and keeps track of all your strengths, weaknesses, strategies and victories. He knows some of us better than we know ourselves! He is always seeking to bring you down and so he will continue to throw different kinds of temptations and trials your way in an attempt to catch you off-guard or unprepared. If he fails the first time, you can believe he will be back again, sometimes, with the same temptation packaged differently. He changed his strategy! In the same way that he is studying you, you have to learn his strategies and adjust yourself accordingly.
As I am writing this, the Lord brought to mind the story in St. Matthew 17:14-21. This Scripture tells the story of a child possessed with a devil that could not be cast out by the disciples. Although Jesus cast out the demon, he later cautioned his disciples of the fact that different demons required different ammunition. Some trials will require prayer while others will require prayer and fasting.
Your strategy cannot remain the same for all trials and temptations. The devil will eventually procure your answer sheet. You are in a war! Study the enemy and adjust! Be tactical! Change your strategy!
XOXO,
Chañel.

I am a dynamic young lady who loves the Lord and seek to have a joy that no one can take away. My all-time favourite thing to do is gaining discoveries by design from My Father during our time each day. Reading, learning and trying new things falls behind in a close second place. My dream is to use my God-given talents to positively impact as many people as possible. As a proud Wolmerian, with a zest for life, I adhere to the “Age Quod Agis” motto in that whatsoever I do, I always do it to the best of my ability.
I particularly love this one
