God DOES Listen

One of the things I’ve always believed is that the Lord works in mysterious ways. He always provides comfort when it is needed.

For the past few weeks I’ve been feeling a bit down. I might even say a bit overwhelmed. I was talking to God, generally, last night into this morning and was telling Him how I felt. I felt frustrated yet lonely. I know it’s strange but let me explain.

I feel that I’m at the point where when people want or need something, I am the first person they will call because they know I will do it. It’s hard, but I can count on one hand, how many persons call or message me because they are truly concerned about me. Most persons are just want, want, want, want. I was complaining to God about this. I kept telling him that I was afraid that I would be forgotten. It was strange but I forgot, in the midst of my complaining, that He, my Father, would never forget me.

This evening I went to praise and worship practice. This session turned into something totally different. It turned into a discussion and prayer session. I was totally amazed that God used this opportunity to show me that HE DOES LISTEN!!! I repeat, GOD DOES LISTEN WHEN YOU SPEAK!!! He also used that session to send me encouragement and remind me of all the times that He has never forgotten me. I FELT SO AMAZED AND COMFORTED.

Right now, I am in total awe of Him. Imagine, I have a Father who totally listens and cares about my well-being and my feelings and does try to make me feel better. It was nice to be reminded that He is always there.

If God GOOD one more time :).

XOXO,
Chañel.

I am a dynamic young lady who loves the Lord and seek to have a joy that no one can take away. My all-time favourite thing to do is gaining discoveries by design from My Father during our time each day. Reading, learning and trying new things falls behind in a close second place. My dream is to use my God-given talents to positively impact as many people as possible. As a proud Wolmerian, with a zest for life, I adhere to the “Age Quod Agis” motto in that whatsoever I do, I always do it to the best of my ability.

    • Taj the discussion covered a wide range of topics: Spiritual growth and relationship with God. Persons also gave a few testimonies and we used it as an opportunity to encourage others who were facing some issues that got them down.
