Kresley Cole’s Sweet Ruin

So after reading Kresley Cole’s Dead of Winter in January I eagerly awaited news of the release of the fourth book in the Arcana Chronicles. Much to my disappointment I learnt that that book would not be released until the middle of next year. Instead Cole chose to appease us, her faithful readers, with the sixteenth instalment of the Immortal After Dark Series. While I was glad to learn more about Thaddeus’ background, I was disappointed because I felt like she should have given me a story about one of the veteran characters like Nix.

Josephine, I must admit, was a gusty heroine and I did like that she knew how to put Ruin, sorry, Rune in his place. I got through the book in two nights! #TeamLittleSleep I considered finishing in one but I decided to sleep :). I was bored by the Moriors, primordials of some of the immortals. Their acts didn’t live up to the pictures that were painted of them. I must however say I was pleasantly surprised and delighted with how Nix managed to fix several major issues in one go. SPOILER ALERT! She even managed to save the Valkyries from possible slavery!

Cole you are a genius! People, you will not regret reading this one. I promise.

XOXO

I am a dynamic young lady who loves the Lord and seek to have a joy that no one can take away. My all-time favourite thing to do is gaining discoveries by design from My Father during our time each day. Reading, learning and trying new things falls behind in a close second place. My dream is to use my God-given talents to positively impact as many people as possible. As a proud Wolmerian, with a zest for life, I adhere to the “Age Quod Agis” motto in that whatsoever I do, I always do it to the best of my ability.
