Closing Chapters?

I’ve always viewed my life as a book, maybe because I like reading. My life has been made up of many chapters and though I’ve lost count of the amount, lately another one is on the verge of closing. I finished university in March! I have my brand new BA in Computer Science degree with honours! I’ve even attended my graduation!

That’s me on the far left 🙂

Depending on how you look at it, the chapter could be considered closed and while I am happy, I am also apprehensive. I know what I want to do after discovering a love for User Experience and User Interface design in my final year of university, however, with little experience (I got the little from the coursework), I’m trying to visualize ways to break into the industry. One chapter has closed but I can’t seem to get the next one open although I’ve applied for a number of jobs! I’ve been slowly expanding my knowledge by reading a lot of books on my chosen field and have even started working on personal projects.

While I have no problem trying other fields in the Computer Science industry (I do enjoy taking on new challenges), I’m afraid that if I take too long I might find myself watching my dream passing me by as I get caught up working in another area.

Have you had this problem? Let me know how you have coped. Do you have any advice or suggestions on how I can get my career launched?

XOXO

Chañel

I am a dynamic young lady who loves the Lord and seek to have a joy that no one can take away. My all-time favourite thing to do is gaining discoveries by design from My Father during our time each day. Reading, learning and trying new things falls behind in a close second place. My dream is to use my God-given talents to positively impact as many people as possible. As a proud Wolmerian, with a zest for life, I adhere to the “Age Quod Agis” motto in that whatsoever I do, I always do it to the best of my ability.
