Many people may find my title strange based on the fact that I am a Christian, or even offensive but I’ve never been more serious in my life. Many of us, as Christians get too caught up in the idea of belonging to Christianity or in my case, just being Apostolic! We are obsessed with outwardly following the rules of our churches. Not wearing the pants. Keeping our hair natural. No make-up. No jewelry. We have the rules locked! We have the outward appearance locked!
But inside? Man inside! We (I use the “we” rather loosely) are worse than a den of thieves (there is indeed honor among thieves). We are full of lawlessness and hypocrisy! We spend too much time judging and little time demonstrating the love of God!
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. – St Luke 6:31
Being a Christian means being Christ-like. It is not about ensuring you have a new suit for church every week, while you neighbour has none! It’s certainly not about how fancy your hat is or high your heels are! Or even how much judgement you can heap on an individual’s head. It most importantly is about love! God’s love was what brought salvation to the Gentiles! If you say you have love and can’t love your brother whom you are able to see, how can you claim to love God who is invisible?
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. – St. Mark 12:31
God is love and one thing Christ demonstrated a lot of, was love. Thus, one of our key duties as Christians is to demonstrate the love of God! Always should we keep in our hearts, the question of what would Jesus do? This was a man who asked for forgiveness on behalf of the people who had mocked and abused him! That is LOVE!
So frankly, I’m not interested in religion! I’m not interested in Christianity! I am more interested in being a CHRISTIAN!

I am a dynamic young lady who loves the Lord and seek to have a joy that no one can take away. My all-time favourite thing to do is gaining discoveries by design from My Father during our time each day. Reading, learning and trying new things falls behind in a close second place. My dream is to use my God-given talents to positively impact as many people as possible. As a proud Wolmerian, with a zest for life, I adhere to the “Age Quod Agis” motto in that whatsoever I do, I always do it to the best of my ability.
